Welcome to Brewtopia!Beers

The “Great American Brew Trail” is hitting the trail – and you’re invited! This is your chance to join the show’s “brew-licious” host, Amy Sherman, as we drink our way through Beer City USA – Asheville, North Carolina! As both Asheville and Grand Rapids share this proud title, it is only fitting that we Grand Rapidians invade Asheville and taste first-hand what they’re brewing down there. With Amy as our guide, it’s sure to be a fantastic time!

Asheville has long been famous for its stunning scenic beauty, lively music culture, robust art scene, and famous attractions such as George Vanderbilt’s Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway. But Asheville’s fastest-growing scene is in the culinary arts, and especially craft brewing – which is why we’re here!

AshevilleAsheville gives any “lager” city a beer-run for their money!

Boasting more breweries per capita than any U.S. city, Asheville offers 11 craft breweries. On any given day, about 50 local beers can be enjoyed in Asheville, served on draft and in bottles. Each of the breweries has its own unique atmosphere and personality, and the same could be said for the beer. Asheville is home to a world-renowned specialty beer store, Bruisin' Ales (rated #3 retailer worldwide by RateBeer), five annual beer festivals, a regular "Beer Guy" column in the local paper, and a growing array of local beer-flavored food products.
